I have always been an advocate of community outreach performances—from college to kindergarten, it's always fun to go back to school! If you'd like to have me visit your school for assembly performances, and classroom workshops, get in touch with me or my friends at Academic Entertainment!

Welcome to the May Madness edition of

The Geoffrey Castle Newsletter

Hi there! If you're getting this newsletter for the first time, you are definitely not alone: hundreds of you have signed up just since the last newsletter went out a few weeks ago! A big shout out, too, for all my new friends from North Carolina and Arizona!

May is going to be an amazing month, full of theater shows and special performances in the Northwest. The schedule is down below, but remember: if you're wondering where I'm going to be on any given day, you don't have to wait for the newsletter! Just go to GeoffreyCastle.com and click on the calendar. It's right on the front page, and it's updated pretty often, with shows as far out as next December! Plan ahead!

Five Year Anniversary
This next Monday marks the FIVE YEAR ANNIVERSARY of my Celtic Night shows at the Wilde Rover. What do you want to bet that something special happens? Last Monday turned into the biggest dance party we've ever had on a Monday night. New band, new songs, old songs sung in new ways, it's a good time! Come join the fun!

Theater Shows
This seems to be a banner month for performances in theaters and other top flight locations, with shows at The Paramount Theater, The Lincoln Theater in Mt. Vernon, the San Juan Community Theater in Friday Harbor, Bake's Place Bellevue, and the Triple Door Theater in Seattle. I'm blessed to be playing in such illustrious venues, truly! As of this writing, I don't know if the show at the Paramount Theater is open to the public or not—watch for an update!

Congratulations to my friends in Heart!
Over the years, I've been blessed to have become friends with some pretty incredible musicians. Some of my closest friends just got inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Big big congratulations to Roger Fisher, Steve Fossen, Mike Derosier, Howard Leese, Ann and Nancy Wilson, and my friend Ben Smith too, the current drummer for Heart, and the guy who played drums on New World, Streets of Inwood, and so many other projects I've produced in Seattle. They'll all be part of the HBO special on May 18, and we've all played lots of music together throughout the years, and my life has been richer for it. Congratulations to you all!

Kirkland Middle School hired me to perform for the kids in their strings program. So many people wanted to come that we had to move the show to the brand new totally gorgeous auditorium of Lake Washington HS. It's a phenomenal room. As good, or better, than any theater I've played. All you have to do is go to this link and sign up on the spreadsheet. This is a concert that is tailor-made for string students and their parents. I'm really looking forward to this!

The Geoffrey Castle Band, featuring Steve Boyce, and Jonathan Sindelman on the grand piano returns to Bake's. I'm lining up the special vocal guest right now. Last time, on Valentine's Day, we had Josephine Howell who just melted the place with her soulful R&B vocals. Would you mind if we did that again?
